BANNING'S LANDING OPENING DAY
DIVE DEMONSTRATION AND DISPLAY
June 3, 2001
A dive demonstration and display of heavy gear diving equipment along with pictures of the early divers of the Los Angeles Harbor were presented by the CCED at the Opening Day Celebration for the Banning's Landing Cultural Center in Wilmington, California. Seventeen members took part in the day long event diving both classic scuba and heavy gear.
Many "THANKS" to the Friends of Banning's Landing and the Port of Los Angeles for inviting us to participate and to dive at one of the most historic spots in the Los Angeles Harbor.

At the close of the day, the L.A. Fireboat docked to give guest a quick tour and then to the delight of the crowd, put on a spectular display of their water pumping capabilites.
