Our goal is to demonstrate the use of classic diving equipment, preserve the history of its use, and to honor the men who used it.
Membership in the CCED is free to anyone interested in collecting and using antique diving equipment. Each member receives a quarterly newsletter of upcoming events, information on equipment and the history of diving.
Charlie Orr (left) and Duke Drake (right) organized the California Classic Equipment Divers
in August '98. Both men grew up in the L.A. Harbor area and as youngsters became interested
in the old dive gear. They are both members of the HDS USA.
